Montane Kong Vinter is an adventure race in Denmark, Sjælland that gives the participants some unique experiences in nature. Montane Kong Winter is a team race where orienteering, running, mountain biking, climbing and canoeing & Kayak (only the master route) are the main ingredients. The route is in beautiful nature with many spectacular features along the way.

The race takes place on Saturday 11. January 2025.
It is possible to rent a mountain bike if you do not have your own. Selected in the menu during registration.

Montane Kong Vinter has once again found a new route, new forests and experiences. The race is designed so that you can participate both to have a nice day in nature or to race it as a competition. There will be plenty of challenges for both new and experienced adventure racers.

The race has 3 distances suitable for all levels:

- Fighter distance (4 hours) for anyone who wants a good day in nature. Perfect for family, friends and colleagues.

- Challenge distance (8 hours) for those who want to challenge themselves and are looking for their next adventure.

- Master AR EuroSeries distance (16 hours) is for the elite and the seasoned Adventure Racer.

Fighter and Challenge are for teams of 2-3 people, while Master can be 2-4 participants. But to be part of AR Euroseries your team has to be a 4 person mix.

An experience of a lifetime. The race is organised by Lars Bukkehave, who has 15 years of expires with organising this event, lays out a route that is exciting for everyone.

Personal license: All who participate in Master or Challenge distances in a DARU tournament race have a personal license.

The license is valid for a year at a time, and for all DARU tournament races, i.e. once you get a license, it stays valid for the entire season.
The license is automatically added to the fee of your first race registration of the season.

Montane Kong Vinter follows DARU and ARWS standard rules.
Placement (ARWS) Rule A : Most mandatory CP, then most optional CP (CPV) and then fastest time. Cps have to be taken in chronological order.

In order to race in DARU U21, you need to be at least 15 years old on the day of the race, and max 21 the year of the tournament.

You may apply for an exception to be made if you are under 15, but both you and your guardians feel that you are capable. In such cases, you apply to the host of the race.

If you are younger than 18 years old, participation requires a permission slip from a legal guardian. This permission slip shall be delivered to the host of the race before it begins. If you are participating as a part of a school team, a permission slip signed by a teacher or a principal is sufficient.
